The Coming Balkan War

ICTYIn the Washington Times Jeffrey T. Kuhner comments on the decision of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia – ICTY – to sentence the Croatian General Ante Gotovina to 24 years in prison. According to Kuhner the court’s ruling is wrong. Through this, Kuhner believes, “The Balkans – again – will explode with violence. … And the so-called “international community” has been pivotal in stoking the flames of ethnic conflict”. From his viewpoint “the U.N. court is a politicized vehicle that aspires to render history’s final judgment on the Balkan wars of the 1990s. And its verdict is clear:
